It's been a pretty slow year.
It started out with a bang - Full of piss and vinegar I wrangled corporate sponsors and big named bands together to get behind A Pocket Full of Phone Numbers. I got to explore some of England and Ireland before it fizzled out.
Then I got a name tag with the title of "Filmmaker", so to pay the bills I shoot videos. I got a nice apartment with my girlfriend on the corner of Via Buozzi and Leonardo DaVinci. The folks at Ikea and the local hardware store know us by name.
We went to Germany for Oktoberfest - which means I checked off 2 items on my To-Do list (the other was Stonehenge).
To wrap it up, the whole family was together for Christmas for the first time in 12 years. And yes, that was mostly my fault! We set off fireworks in the front yard for New Year's Eve, which is always fun (though still not quite as up there as New York City two years ago).
So yeah, pretty quiet - let's see what we can do about 2008, yes?

Yes, I quoted Ratatouille. But it's true, isn't it?
Also, Facebook is grand.
I bring this up because the most wondrous thing about Facebook is all the people I've reconnected with. There's basically 5 stages in my life.
Let's discuss.

Yeah, yeah. Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this. After the Pocket Full Project I've had a lot to do. But now that August is here, and my time is under control again, I'll have the prerequisite 30 minutes or so necessary to writing something intelligent!| 26 March 2007
Though I'm pretty sure noone is going to read this, I'm posting anyway...
Looking back on this last year, I've realized my life is so fucking crazy. Such a tremendous emotional rollercoaster. I moved to Italy, was left alone when Vale started another contract. I felt so alone and cut off at that time. No friends, couldn't speak the language. My fault of course - Vale's friends tried to get me out, but I was in such a state that I would spend every night after work in my boxers, surfing aimlessly on the internet and eating pizza for dinner. So isolated.

I just wanted to say thank you. I was in Villefranche, France yesterday and found that little restaurant of yours - you know, the one owned by the Greek guy and his little Asian wife. You know, the one that not only serves the usual French cuisine, but also the Italian, Chinese, Indian and Vietnamese as well. You know, the one that actually serves RARE BEEF NOODLE SOUP. You know, my favorite soup in the world, which I haven't had since Calgary? After pouring a quarter of the chili sauce with the green top into the bowl, chewing on the bean sprouts and delicious beef, I began to cry. Well, maybe not cry, but there was definitely tears involved.
Thanks.
