Today Samantha, Justin and I caught a shuttleboat to St Mark's Square for some shopping and sightseeing.
We did the usual - shop, eat, and got lost. We found ourselves at a cafe between 2 churches, discussing things that shouldn't be discussed while surrounded by Holy buildings. We grabbed a couple more beers for the road and headed back to the ship to pick up everyone else for a night out on the town.

The weather has been so bad that the most terrible thing imaginable has occurred.
I'm talking even worse than the most heinous situation you could possibly conjure up.

We had to miss Villefranche and go to Marsaille instead. Now as we all know, the reason this is such a catastrophe is because this was the last time that I'd be able to have Rare Beef Noodle Soup and my favorite little restaurant - Chez Hein, since they close for the season in 2 days...

This week, one of our guest entertainers is Jamie Allen - a magician from England. As with all people who have been in the magic world for long enough, I don't really get stumped anymore when watching someone perform. Andy hadn't even finished packing before I began rearranging the entire room. I brought in a sound system with speakers 2 feet high.
"Why didn't you do this when I was here?" he asked.
"Because nobody ever wanted to come over while you were here." I replied.

My new roommate won't be arriving until Rome, so I've got a few days to myself. I think it's appropriate to throw a farewell party for Andy - once he leaves of course.

I walked into the office this morning and Bre, Jean-Michel and the new Activities Manager was there. Off the cuff Bre said "Andy is leaving with Jean-Michel tomorrow."
I could feel the look of confusion and disbelief wash over my face. I stuttered a bit as I tried desperately to wrap my brain around what was being said. I dropped to my knees, and as I eventually came to terms with the situation, I stood back up - fists to the sky and began to laugh the most triumphant laugh a man can muster. My face hurt so much from the size of my smile, and the new Activities Manager said "So I take it that's a good thing, right?"
